Ryan first took up cooking as a passion at an early age with his family. Growing up two of his close family friends were restaurateurs which sparked his desire to go into the restaurant and hospitality industry. Ryan, now has 10 years of restaurant experience to go along with his degree in Finance from the University of Washington, Foster School of Business. After the University, Ryan went to work for Simco Restaurant Group, in San Francisco. In 2012, Ryan left Simco Restaurant Group to open and run Copita Tequileria Y Comida in Sausalito, CA. In August 2012, he relocated back to Seattle to be with his now wife Morgan (a Gamma Phi), and worked for Compass Group as a Financial Controller. During his time at Compass Group, he reconnected with Hunter Brooks and friend Todd Fishman. Ryan teamed up with Hunter and Todd in 2013 to create the menu and develop the operations for Evergreens. He has been an integral part in running and creating efficient and scalable operations as Evergreens grew to its current 5 locations. These operations include a highly detailed training program as well as focusing heavily on managing vendor purchasing and seeking out local partnerships and products that fit the Evergreens mantra: fresh, local and all-natural food. His work with Evergreens goes outside the day to day business, and recently Ryan has made efforts to get further involved in the surrounding communities, as well as getting more heavily involved in the Seattle Restaurant Association.
